Sangiovese is native grape variety, named for the first time, "Sangiogheto"or "Sangioveto" from Soderini in 1600 ("The cultivation of vines"). The name, therefore, may result either from the yokes, which are typical of the hilly landscape, which by the blood of Jove (Sanzvès in the Romagnolo dialect). Grapevine fundamental in the most prestigious Italian DOCG and DOC, with growing international success, is an ideal habitat in the hilly districts of Romagna, assuming a strong personality structure in the territory of Rimini.
